Holy Infant Chaplet

About This Chaplet

Among the many devotions to the Child Jesus, the Chaplet of the Infant Jesus is one that is rarely seen. Smaller than the Rosary, the Chaplet of the Infant Jesus consists of 1 Medal and 3 small beads, these being separated by 12 more small beads. It is a powerful devotion that has many special graces attached to its faithful recitation.

The Chaplet was introduced by Venerable Marguerite of the Holy-Sacrament, a French Carmelite nun who lived in the 17th century. It is believed that Marguerite had a vision of Jesus and he gave her this chaplet, promising special graces to those who recited it in faith.

Marguerite had a special devotion to the Infant Jesus throughout her life and encouraged all people to develop a similar devotion. She once said, “Consider the Child Jesus in the Crib, small and helpless, who is giving himself entirely to you …The Holy Infant Jesus has more care of our souls and our needs than we would have ourselves.”

Novena Prayer to the Holy Infant Jesus

O Divine Infant Jesus, Who said:
“Ask and you shall receive,
seek and you shall find,
knock and it shall be opened to you.”
Through the intercession of Mary,
Your Most Holy Mother,
we knock, we seek,
we ask that our prayers be granted.

(Make your request.)

O Divine Infant Jesus, Who said:
“Unless you become like little children,
you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Grant us the simplicity and wonder,
the tenderness and gentleness of a child.
Fill us with innocence, hope and love.
Grant us the grace that we need.

(Make your request.)

O Divine Infant Jesus,
help us to know how close You are to us
and how powerful is Your embrace.
Help us to trust that You hold
the whole world in Your hand.
We place our every need and care in Your hands.
We ask that you fulfill our request
according to Your holy will.

(Make your request)

Miraculous Holy Infant, Jesus,
have mercy on us.
