About This Chaplet

The Saint Padre Pio chaplet is made with 9 beads, either all brown in color, or grouped into sets of three beads with a different color for each set. There is a crucifix on one end and a Saint Padre Pio medal on the other end. This style of chaplet is also known as a “novena chaplet”.

Prayer for the Intercession of St. Padre Pio

Dear God, You generously blessed Your servant,
Saint Pio of Pietrelcina,
with the gifts of the Spirit.
You marked his body
with the five wounds of Christ Crucified,
as a powerful witness
to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son.
Endowed with the gift of discernment,
Saint Pio labored endlessly in the confessional
for the salvation of souls.
With reverence and intense devotion
in the celebration of Mass,
he invited countless men and women
to a greater union with Jesus Christ
in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
Through the intercession of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina,
we confidently beseech You
to grant us the grace of…
[state your petition here].

St. Padre Pio, pray for us.

On the Crucifix:

Oh Jesus, full of grace and charity,
victim for sinners,
so impelled by Your love of us
that You willed to die on the cross,
we humbly entreat Thee to glorify
in Heaven and on Earth,
the servant of God,
Padre Pio of Pietrelcina,
who generously participated in Your sufferings,
who loved Thee so much
and labored so faithfully
for the glory of Your Heavenly Father
and for the good of souls.
With confidence, we beseech Thee to grant us,
through his intercession,
the graces which we ardently desire.

1st Set of 3 Beads:

O Lord Jesus, You have said,
“Truly I say to you,
ask and it will be given you,
seek and you will find,
knock and it will be opened to you.”
Behold, we knock, we seek
and ask for the grace of…
[Mention your request here.]

Sacred Heart of Jesus,
we place all our trust in you.

2nd Set of 3 Beads:

O Lord Jesus, You have said,
“Truly I say to you,
if you ask anything of the Father in my name,
He will give it to you.”
Behold, in Your name,
we ask the Father for the grace of…
[Mention your request here.]

Sacred Heart of Jesus,
we place all our trust in you.

3rd Set of 3 Beads:

O Lord Jesus, You have said,
“Truly I say to you,
heaven and earth will pass away
but my words will not pass away.”
Encouraged by Your infallible words,
we now ask for the grace of…
[Mention your request here.]

Sacred Heart of Jesus,
we place all our trust in you.

On the Medal:

Stay with us, Lord,
for it is necessary to have You present
so that we do not forget You.
You know how easily we abandon You.

Stay with us, Lord,
because we are weak,
and we need Your strength,
so that we may not fall so often.

Stay with us, Lord,
for You are our life,
and without You, we are without fervor.

Stay with us, Lord,
for You are our light,
and without you, we are in darkness.

Stay with us, Lord,
to show us Your will.

Stay with us, Lord,
so that we hear Your voice and follow You.

Stay with us, Lord,
for we desire to love you very much,
and always be in Your Company.

Stay with us, Lord,
if You wish us to be faithful to You.

Stay with us, Lord,
for as poor as our souls are,
we want them to be
a place of consolation for You,
a nest of Love.

Stay with us, Jesus,
for it is getting late,
and the day is coming to a close,
and life passes,
death, judgment, eternity approach.
It is necessary to renew our strength,
so that we will not stop along the way
and for that, we need You.
It is getting late and death approaches.
We fear the darkness, the temptations, the dryness, the cross, the sorrows.
O how we need You, our Jesus,
in this night of exile.

Stay with us tonight, Jesus,
in life with all its dangers,
we need You.

Let us recognize You as Your disciples did
at the breaking of bread,
so that the Eucharistic Communion
be the light which disperses the darkness,
the force which sustains us,
the unique joy of our hearts.

Stay with us, Lord,
because at the hour of our death,
we want to remain united to you,
if not by Communion,
at least by grace and love.

Stay with us, Jesus,
we do not ask for divine consolation
because we do not merit it,
but the gift of Your presence, oh yes,
we ask this of You.

Stay with us, Lord,
for it is You alone we look for,
Your Love, Your Grace,
Your Will, Your Heart, Your Spirit,
because we love You and ask no other reward
but to love You more and more.

With a firm love,
we will love You with all our heart while on earth
and continue to love You perfectly during all eternity.

Amen.
