In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Divine Jesus, You have said,
"Ask and you shall receive;
seek and you shall find;
knock and it shall be opened to you."
Behold me humbling myself at Your feet,
filled with a lively faith
and confidence in the promises
dictated by Your Sacred Heart
to Saint Margaret Mary.
I come to ask this favour:
(Make your request here…)
To whom can I turn if not to You,
Whose Heart is the source of all graces and merits?
Where should I seek if not in the treasure
which contains all the riches
of Your kindness and mercy?
Where should I knock if not at the door
through which God gives Himself to us
and through which we go to God?
I have recourse to You,
Heart of Jesus.
In You I find consolation when afflicted,
protection when persecuted,
strength when burdened with trials,
and light in doubt and darkness.
I firmly believe that You can grant me the grace I implore,
even though it should require a miracle.
You have only to will it
and my prayer will be granted.
I admit that I am most unworthy of Your favours,
but this is not a reason for me to be discouraged.
You are the God of mercy,
and You will not refuse a contrite heart.
Cast upon me a look of mercy,
I beg of You,
and Your kind Heart will find in my miseries and weakness
a reason for granting my prayer.
whatever may be Your decision
with regard to my request,
I will never stop adoring,
loving, praising, and serving You.
be pleased to accept this
my act of perfect resignation
to the decrees of Your adorable Heart,
which I sincerely desire
may be fulfilled in and by me
and all Your creatures forever.
Grant me the grace for which I humbly implore You
through the Immaculate Heart of Your most sorrowful Mother.
You entrusted me to her as her child,
and her prayers are all-powerful with You.
My God, I offer You all my prayers,
works, joys, and sufferings
in union with the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
for the intentions for which He pleads and offers Himself
in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass,
in thanksgiving for Your favours,
in reparation for my sins,
and in humble supplication
for my temporal and eternal welfare,
for the needs of our holy Mother the Church,
for the conversion of sinners,
and for the relief of the poor souls in purgatory.
“I am the mother of fair love, and of fear,
and of knowledge, and of holy hope.
In me is all grace of the way and of the truth;
in me is all hope of life and of virtue.
Come to me all that desire me
and be filled with my fruits.” (Sirach 24:24-26)
O Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of Grace, Hope of the world.
Hear us, your children, who cry to you.
Let Us Pray:
O God, who by the marvelous protection
of the Blessed Virgin Mary
has strengthened us firmly in hope,
grant we beseech You,
that by persevering in prayer at her admonition,
we may obtain the favors we devoutly implore.
Through Christ Our Lord.
Prayer to Our Lady of Hope:
O Mary, my Mother,
I humble myself before you with heavy heart.
The burden of my sins oppresses me.
The knowledge of my weakness discourages me.
I am beset by fears and temptations of every sort.
Yet I am so attached to the things of this world
that instead of longing for Heaven
I am filled with dread at the thought of death.
O Mother of Mercy,
have pity on me in my distress.
You are all-powerful with your Divine Son.
He can refuse no request of your Immaculate Heart.
Show yourself a true Mother to me
by being my advocate before His throne.
O Refuge of Sinners
and Hope of the Hopeless,
to whom shall I turn if not you?
Obtain for me, then,
O Mother of Hope,
the grace of true sorrow for my sins,
the gift of perfect resignation to God's Holy Will,
and the courage to take up my cross and follow Jesus.
Beg of His Sacred Heart
the special favor that I ask in this novena.
(State your request here...)
But above all I pray,
O dearest Mother,
that through your most powerful intercession
my heart may be filled with Holy Hope,
so that in life's darkest hour
I may never fail to trust in God my Saviour,
but by walking in the way of His commandments
I may merit to be united with Him,
and with you in the eternal joys of Heaven.
Mary, our Hope,
have pity on us.
Hope of the Hopeless,
pray for us.
Hail Mary… (3 times)
O St. Pio, I come to you today
knowing that you are truly a miracle worker.
As one who is close to Jesus,
I ask that you would pray for these my intentions:
(State your intentions here)
I pray with the words of St. Pope John Paul II
as I beg for your prayers on my behalf:
“Glorious, humble and beloved Padre Pio.
Teach us, we pray, humility of heart,
so that we may be counted among the little ones of the Gospel
to whom the Father promised to reveal
the mysteries of His Kingdom.
Help us to pray without ceasing,
certain that God knows what we need
even before we ask Him.
“Obtain for us the eyes of faith
that will help us recognize in the poor and suffering,
the very face of Jesus.
“Sustain us in the hour of trouble and trial
and, if we fall, let us experience
the joy of the sacrament of forgiveness.
Grant us your tender devotion
to Mary, mother of Jesus and our Mother.
“Accompany us on our earthly pilgrimage
toward the blessed Homeland,
where we too, hope to arrive
to contemplate forever
the Glory of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”
In closing, St. Pio,
we pray the prayer you composed
for Confidence and Trust in God’s Mercy:
“O Lord, we ask for a boundless confidence
and trust in Your divine mercy,
and the courage to accept the crosses and sufferings
which bring immense goodness to our souls
and that of Your Church.
Help us to love You with a pure and contrite heart,
and to humble ourselves beneath Your cross,
as we climb the mountain of holiness,
carrying our cross
that leads to heavenly glory.
May we receive You with great faith and love in Holy Communion,
and allow You to act in us as You desire
for your greater glory.
O Jesus, most adorable Heart
and eternal fountain of Divine Love,
may our prayer find favor
before the Divine Majesty of Your heavenly Father.”
All glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
world without end.
St. Padre Pio, Pray for us!
Blessed Saint Raphael, Archangel,
We beseech you to help us in all our needs
and trials of this life,
as you, through the power of God,
didst restore sight and gave guidance to young Tobit.
We humbly seek your aid and intercession,
that our souls may be healed,
our bodies protected from all ills,
and that through divine grace we may become fit
to dwell in the eternal Glory of God in heaven.
O Lord, God of holiness and light,
You do not allow any shadow of darkness or evil in Your sight
and so in Your mercy You grant to those
who have left this world burdened with sin,
a time of purification,
applying to them the spiritual treasures of Your Holy Church.
Hear my prayer and through the merits of Christ,
the Blessed Virgin, the Saints, and all of Your faithful people,
bring to an end this time of waiting
for our beloved dead whom I commend to Your mercy.
In Your providence, Lord,
You have chosen Saint Nicholas of Tolentino
as a special intercessor on behalf of the departed;
hear also his fervent prayer
for those whom I recommend to You,
through his intercession.
Saint Nicholas, you were attentive
to the pleas of many needy souls
and through your prayer and penance
you hastened their enjoyment of the vision of God.
Look with compassion on our beloved deceased,
and obtain for them by your prayers
the full forgiveness of their sins
so that they may experience the happiness and peace
of the Father’s presence.
Jesus and Mary, I love you, save souls! [three times]
Saint Nicholas of Tolentino, pray for us.
O Jesus, You suffered and died that all mankind
might be saved and brought to eternal happiness.
Hear our pleas for further mercy on the souls of:
[For the following, respond with: Jesus, have mercy.]
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
