Prayer for Daily Neglects

Eternal Father,
I offer You the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits.

To expiate all the sins I have committed this day and throughout my life.
Glory be…

To purify the good I have done poorly this day and throughout my life.
Glory be…

To supply for the good I ought to have done, and that I have neglected this day and throughout my life.

Prayer to Our Lady of the Rosary

My dearest Mother Mary,
behold me, your child,
in prayer at your feet.
Accept this Holy Rosary,
which I offer you in accordance with your requests at Fatima,
as a proof of my tender love for you,
for the intentions of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
in atonement for the offenses committed against your Immaculate Heart,
and for this special favour
which I earnestly request in my Rosary:

(State your intention(s) here...)

I beg you to present my petition to your Divine Son.
If you will pray for me,
I cannot be refused.
I know, dearest Mother,
that you want me to seek God’s holy Will concerning my request.
If what I ask for should not be granted,
pray that I may receive that which will be of greater benefit to my soul.

I offer you this spiritual “Bouquet of Roses” because I love you.
I put all my confidence in you,
since your prayers before God are most powerful.
For the greater glory of God
and for the sake of Jesus,
your loving Son,
hear and grant my prayer.

Sweet Heart of Mary,
be my salvation.

The Most Holy Rosary

Sign of the Cross:

In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Opening Prayers

Apostle’s Creed:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth,
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day, He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father Almighty;
from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

For an increase in the virtues of faith, hope and charity, we pray:

An Act of Faith (optional)

O my God, I firmly believe
that You are one God in three Divine Persons,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit;
I believe that Your Divine Son became man and died for our sins,
and that He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches,
because You revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived.

Hail Mary…

An Act of Hope (optional)

O my God, relying on Your infinite goodness and promises,
I hope to obtain pardon of my sins,
the help of Your grace, and life everlasting,
through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer.

Hail Mary…

An Act of Charity (optional)

O my God, I love You above all things,
with my whole heart and soul,
because You are all-good and worthy of all love.
I love my neighbor as myself for the love of You.
I forgive all who have injured me,
and I ask pardon of all whom I have injured.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God,
Have mercy on me, a sinner.

Hail Mary…

Glory Be:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen.

Optional Prayers After Each Decade

Prayer of Fatima

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of hell,
and lead all souls to Heaven,
especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

Prayer for Eternal Rest

In November and Rosaries for the Dead: The ‘Eternal Rest’ prayer is often prayed in place of the Fatima Prayer during the month of November (especially after dusk on All Saints Day and on All Souls Day) and during Rosaries prayed for the dead, such as at Funeral Vigils. Start by dedicating the prayer.

For our departed loved ones (or state a name), especially for the holy souls in Purgatory, we pray:
Eternal rest grant unto him/her (them), O Lord;
and let perpetual light shine upon him/her (them).
May he/she (they) rest in peace.
Amen.

Prayer of the Miraculous Medal:

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you,
and for all who do not have recourse to you,
especially for the enemies of the Holy Church,
and for those recommended to you.
Amen.

The Glorious Mysteries

The First Glorious Mystery – The Resurrection of our Lord

“Truly, Truly, I say to you,
you will weep and lament,
but the world will rejoice;
you will be sorrowful,
but your sorrow will turn into joy.
So you have sorrow now,
but I will see you again,
and your hearts will rejoice,
and no one will take your joy from you.”

(Jn 16:20,22 – RSV)

Our Father…

  1. When the sabbath was over,
Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James,
    and Salome bought spices,
so that they might go and anoint [Jesus].
And very early on the first day of the week,
    when the sun had risen,
    they went to the tomb.
They had been saying to one another,
“Who will roll away the stone for us
from the entrance to the tomb?”
    Hail Mary… (Mk 16:1-3 – NRSV)

  2. And suddenly there was a great earthquake;
for an angel of the Lord,
    descending from heaven,
came and rolled back the stone
    and sat on it.
    His appearance was like lightning,
and his clothing white as snow.
    Hail Mary… (Mt 28:2-3 – NRSV)

  3. The angel said to the women,
    “Do not be afraid;
I know that you are looking for Jesus
    who was crucified.
    He is not here;
for he has been raised, as he said.
Come, see the place where he lay.”
    Hail Mary… (Mt 28:5-6 – NRSV)

  4. “Then go quickly and tell his disciples,
‘He has been raised from the dead,
    and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee;
    there you will see him.’
This is my message for you.”
    Hail Mary… (Mt 28:7 – NRSV)

  5. So they left the tomb quickly
    with fear and great joy,
and ran to tell his disciples.
Suddenly Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!”
    And they came to him,
    took hold of his feet,
    and worshiped him.
    Hail Mary… (Mt 28:8-9 – NRSV)

  6. When it was evening on that day,
and the doors of the house
    where the disciples had met
were locked for fear of the Jews,
Jesus came and stood among them
and said, “Peace be with you.”
    After he said this,
he showed them his hands and his side.
Then the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord.
    Hail Mary… (Jn 20:19-20 – NRSV)

  7. Then he said to Thomas,
“Put your finger here and see my hands.
Reach out your hand and put it in my side.
    Do not doubt but believe.”

    Thomas answered him,
    “My Lord and my God!”
    Jesus said to him,
“Have you believed because you have seen me?
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have come to believe.”

    Hail Mary… (Jn 20:27-29 – NRSV)

  8. Therefore we have been buried with him
    by baptism into death,
so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead
by the glory of the Father,
so we too might walk in newness of life.
    Hail Mary… (Rom 6:4 – NRSV)

  9. For if we have been united with him
    in a death like his,
we will certainly be united with him
    in a resurrection like his.
We know that Christ, being raised from the dead,
    will never die again;
death no longer has dominion over him.
So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin
and alive to God in Christ Jesus.
    Hail Mary… (Rom 6:5,9,11 – NRSV)

  10. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life.
    those who believe in me,
even though they die, will live,
and everyone who lives and believes in me
    will never die.”

    Hail Mary… (Jn 11:25*-26 – NRSV)

Glory be…
O my Jesus…
or: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord…
O Mary, conceived without sin…

The Second Glorious Mystery – The Ascension of Jesus into Heaven

“Do not let your hearts be troubled.
believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places.
If it were not so, would I have told you
that I go to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again and will take you to myself,
so that where I am, there you may be also.
I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.”

(Jn 14:1-3,6)

Our Father…

  1. Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.
And Jesus came and said to them,
“All authority in heaven and on earth
    has been given to me.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
    and teaching them to obey
everything that I have commanded you.
And remember, I am with you always,
to the end of the age.”

    Hail Mary… (Mt 28:16,18-20 – NRSV)

  2. Then he led [the disciples] out as far as Bethany,
and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.
While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them
and was carried up into heaven.
    Hail Mary… (Lk 24:50-51 – NRSV)

  3. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going,
suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them.
    They said, “Men of Galilee,
why are you standing there looking at the sky?
This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven
will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”
    Hail Mary… (Acts 1:10-11 – NABR)

  4. So then the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven
and sat down at the right hand of God.
And [the disciples] went out and proclaimed the good news everywhere,
while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message
by the signs that accompanied it.
    Hail Mary… (Mk 16:19*-20 – NRSV)

  5. Since, then, we have a great high priest
who has passed through the heavens,
    Jesus, the Son of God,
let us hold fast to our confession.
    Let us therefore approach
the throne of grace with boldness,
so that we may receive mercy
and find grace to help in time of need.
    Hail Mary… (Heb 4:14,16 – NRSV)

  6. For we do not have a high priest
who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses,
but we have one who in every respect
has been tested as we are,
    yet without sin.
    Hail Mary… (Heb 4:15 – NRSV)

  7. For Christ did not enter a sanctuary
    made by human hands,
a mere copy of the true one,
but he entered into heaven itself,
now to appear in the presence of God
    on our behalf.
    Hail Mary… (Heb 9:24 – NRSV)

  8. Christ, having been offered once
to bear the sins of many,
    will appear a second time,
    not to deal with sin,
    but to save those
who are eagerly waiting for him.
    Hail Mary… (Heb 9:28 – NRSV)

  9. So if you have been raised with Christ,
seek the things that are above,
    where Christ is,
seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things that are above,
not on things that are on earth,
    for you have died,
and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ who is your life is revealed,
then you also will be revealed with him in glory.
    Hail Mary… (Col 3:1-4 – NRSV)

  10. May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope
    that belongs to his call,
what are the riches of glory
in his inheritance among the holy ones,
and what is the surpassing greatness
of his power for us who believe,
    in accord with the exercise
    of his great might,
    which he worked in Christ,
    raising him from the dead
and seating him at his right hand in the heavens.
    Hail Mary… (Eph 1:18-20 – NABR)

Glory be…
O my Jesus…
or: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord…
O Mary, conceived without sin…

The Third Glorious Mystery – The Descent of the Holy Spirit

“And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate,
to be with you forever.
This is the Spirit of truth,
whom the world cannot receive,
because it neither sees him nor knows him.
You know him, because he abides with you,
and he will be in you.”

(Jn 14:16-17 – NRSV)

Our Father…

  1. When the day of Pentecost had come,
they were all together in one place.
And suddenly from heaven there came a sound
like the rush of a violent wind,
and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
    Hail Mary… (Acts 2:1-2 – NRSV)

  2. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them,
and a tongue rested on each of them.
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit
and began to speak in other languages,
as the Spirit gave them ability.
    Hail Mary… (Acts 2:3-4 – NRSV)

  3. Now there were devout Jews
    from every nation under heaven
    living in Jerusalem.
    Amazed and astonished, they asked,
“Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
And how is it that … in our own languages
we hear them speaking about God’s deeds of power.
    Hail Mary… (Acts 2:5, 7-8*, 11* – NRSV)

  4. Peter, standing with the eleven,
raised his voice and addressed them,
“Repent, and be baptized every one of you
in the name of Jesus Christ
    so that your sins may be forgiven;
and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
    Hail Mary… (Acts 2:14, 38 – NRSV)

  5. So those who welcomed his message were baptized,
and that day about three thousand persons were added.
    They devoted themselves
to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
    Hail Mary… (Acts 2:41-42 – NRSV)

  6. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ
    does not belong to him.
But if Christ is in you,
though the body is dead because of sin,
the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
he who raised Christ from the dead
will give life to your mortal bodies also
through his Spirit that dwells in you.
    Hail Mary… (Rom 8:9b-11 – NRSV)

  7. Now there are varieties of gifts,
    but the same Spirit;
and there are varieties of services,
    but the same Lord.
To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit
    for the common good.
    For in the one Spirit
we were all baptized into one body
and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
    Hail Mary… (1 Cor 12:4-5,7,13 – NRSV)

  8. The fruit of the Spirit is
    charity, joy, peace,
    patience, kindness, goodness,
    forbearance, meekness, faith,
    modesty, abstinence, chastity.
There is no law against such things.
    Hail Mary… (Gal 5:22-23 – CPDV)

  9. The Spirit helps us in our weakness;
for we do not know how to pray as we ought,
but that very Spirit intercedes for us
with sighs too deep for words.
And God, who searches the heart,
knows what is the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for the saints
according to the will of God.
    Hail Mary… (Rom 8:26-27 – NRSV)

  10. For you did not receive a spirit of slavery
    to fall back into fear,
but you have received a spirit of adoption.
    When we cry, “Abba! Father!”
    it is that very Spirit
    bearing witness with our spirit
that we are children of God,
    and if children, then heirs,
heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ —
if, in fact, we suffer with him
so that we may also be glorified with him.
    Hail Mary… (Rom 8:15-17 – NRSV)

Glory be…
O my Jesus…
or: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord…
O Mary, conceived without sin…

The Fourth Glorious Mystery – The Assumption of Our Lady into Heaven

Then the Creator of all things
instructed and spoke with me.
And the One who created me
rested in my tabernacle.
And he said to me:
“Let your dwelling place be with Jacob,
and let your inheritance be in Israel,
for you shall take root among my elect.”
From the beginning, and before the world, I was created.
And even unto the future world,
I will not cease to exist.
For I have ministered before him in the holy habitation.
And I took root among an honorable people,
within the portion of my God,
within his inheritance.
And so my abode is in the full assembly of the saints.
(Sir 24:12-14,16 – CPDV)

Our Father…

  1. “Father, I desire that those also,
    whom you have given me,
may be with me where I am,
    to see my glory,
    which you have given me
    because you loved me
before the foundation of the world.”

    Hail Mary… (Jn 17:24 – NRSV)

  2. Christ has been raised from the dead,
the first fruits of those who have died.
For since death came through a human being,
    the resurrection of the dead
    has also come through a human being;
for as all die in Adam,
so all will be made alive in Christ.
But each in his own order:
    Christ the first fruits,
then at his coming those who belong to Christ.
    Hail Mary… (1 Cor 15:51-52,54a – NRSV)

  3. Listen, I will tell you a mystery!
    We will not all die,
but we will all be changed,
    in a moment,
in the twinkling of an eye,
    at the last trumpet.
    For the trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised imperishable,
    and we will be changed.
    Hail Mary… (1 Cor 15:51-52 – NRSV)

  4. But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised?
With what kind of body do they come?”
What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.
And as for what you sow,
you do not sow the body that is to be,
    but a bare seed,
perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.
But God gives it a body as he has chosen,
and to each kind of seed its own body.
So it is with the resurrection of the dead.
    Hail Mary… (1 Cor 15:35-38,42a – NRSV)

  5. What is sown is perishable,
    what is raised is imperishable.
    It is sown in dishonor,
    it is raised in glory.
    It is sown in weakness,
    it is raised in power.
It is sown a physical body,
it is raised a spiritual body.
    Thus it is written,
    “The first man, Adam, became a living being”;
the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.”
    Hail Mary… (1 Cor 15:42b-44a,45 – NRSV)

  6. When this perishable body
    puts on imperishability,
    and this mortal body
    puts on immortality,
then the saying that is written will be fulfilled:
“Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?”
    Hail Mary… (1 Cor 15:54-55 – NRSV)

  7. The sting of death is sin,
and the power of sin is the law.
    But thanks be to God,
    who gives us the victory
    through our Lord Jesus Christ.
    Therefore, my beloved,
    be steadfast, immovable,
always excelling in the work of the Lord,
because you know that in the Lord
your labor is not in vain.
    Hail Mary… (1 Cor 15:56-58 – NRSV)

  8. All glorious is the king’s daughter as she enters,
    her raiment threaded with gold;
In embroidered apparel she is led to the king.
The maids of her train are presented to the king.
    They are led in with glad and joyous acclaim;
they enter the palace of the king.
    Hail Mary… (Ps 45:14-16 – NABR)

  9. And when they met her,
they all blessed her with one accord
    and said to her,
“You are the exaltation of Jerusalem,
you are the great glory of Israel,
you are the great pride of our nation!
May the Almighty Lord bless you forever!”
    Hail Mary… (Jdt 15:9,10b – NRSV)

  10. “O daughter, you are blessed by the Most High God
    above all other women on earth;
Your hope will never depart from the hearts
of those who remember the power of God.”
    Hail Mary… (Jdt 13:18a*,19 – NRSV)

Glory be…
O my Jesus…
or: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord…
O Mary, conceived without sin…

The Fifth Glorious Mystery – The Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven and earth

And she will open her mouth
in the churches of the Most High,
and she will be glorified
in the sight of his virtue.
And in the midst of her own people,
she will be exalted.
And she will be admired
by the holy assembly.
And she will have praise
within the multitude of the elect.
And she will be blessed among the blessed.
And she will say:
“I lived in the highest places,
and my throne is in the pillar of a cloud.”
(Sir 24:2-4,7 – CPDV)

Our Father…

  1. The Lord God said to the serpent,
“I will put enmity between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
    he will strike your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
    Hail Mary… (Gn 3:14a-15 – NRSV)

  2. But when the fullness of time had come,
    God sent his Son,
born of a woman, born under the law,
in order to redeem those who were under the law,
so that we might receive adoption as children.
    Hail Mary… (Gal 4:4-5 – NRSV)

  3. Then God’s temple in heaven was opened,
    and the ark of his covenant was seen within his temple;
and there were flashes of lightning,
    rumblings, peals of thunder,
    an earthquake, and heavy hail.
    Hail Mary… (Rv 11:19 – NRSV)

  4. A great portent appeared in heaven,
a woman clothed with the sun,
with the moon under her feet,
and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
    She was pregnant
and was crying out in birth pangs,
in the agony of giving birth.
    Hail Mary… (Rv 12:1-2 – NRSV)

  5. Then another portent appeared in heaven:
    a great red dragon,
with seven heads and ten horns,
and seven diadems on his heads.
Then the dragon stood before the woman
who was about to bear a child,
so that he might devour her child
as soon as it was born.
    Hail Mary… (Rv 12:3,4b – NRSV)

  6. She gave birth to a son, a male child,
destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod.
Her child was caught up to God and his throne.
The woman herself fled into the desert
where she had a place prepared by God.
    Hail Mary… (Rv 12:5-6a – NABR)

  7. Then the dragon was angry with the woman,
and went off to make war on the rest of her children,
those who keep the commandments of God
and hold the testimony of Jesus.
    Hail Mary… (Rv 12:17 – NRSV)

  8. But the righteous live forever,
    and their reward is with the Lord;
the Most High takes care of them.
Therefore they will receive a glorious crown
and a beautiful diadem from the hand of the Lord,
because with his right hand he will cover them,
and with his arm he will shield them.
    Hail Mary… (Wis 5:15-16 – NRSV)

  9. I am the mother of beautiful love,
    of fear, of knowledge, and of holy hope;
being eternal, I am given to all my children,
to those who are named by him.
Come to me, you who desire me,
and eat your fill of my fruits.
Whoever obeys me will not be put to shame,
and those who work with me will not sin.
    Hail Mary… (Sir 24:18*-19,22 – NRSV)

  10. I love those who love me,
and those who seek me diligently find me.
And now, my children, listen to me:
happy are those who keep my ways.
    Hear instruction and be wise,
    and do not neglect it.
For whoever finds me finds life
and obtains favor from the Lord.
    Hail Mary… (Prv 8:17,32-33,35 – NRSV)

Glory be…
O my Jesus…
or: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord…
O Mary, conceived without sin…

Closing Reflection on the Role of the Blessed Mother in Our Salvation (Optional)

Finally, the Immaculate Virgin,
preserved free from all guilt of original sin,
on the completion of her earthly sojourn,
was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory,
and exalted by the Lord as Queen of the universe,
that she might be the more fully conformed to her Son,
the Lord of lords
and the conqueror of sin and death.
Because of this gift of sublime grace,
she far surpasses all creatures,
both in heaven and on earth.
This, however, … neither takes away from nor adds anything
to the dignity and efficaciousness
of Christ the one Mediator.
For no creature could ever be counted as equal
with the Incarnate Word and Redeemer.
(Vat. II, Lumen Gentium: Constit. of Ch. 59, 53, 62)

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of mercy,

And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

In Ordinary Time

[From the day after Pentecost (or from Trinity Sunday, if Pentecost is celebrated with octave) to the beginning of Advent:]

Grant, we beseech you, O Lord God,
that we, your servants, may enjoy
perpetual health of mind and body;
and by the glorious intercession of the Blessed Mary, ever Virgin,
may be delivered from present sorrow,
and rejoice in eternal happiness.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

In October, the Rosary Month

[The Prayer to St. Joseph is often added as a concluding prayer, especially during the month of October (this was recommended by Pope Leo XIII):]

To you, O Blessed Joseph,
we have recourse in our tribulations,
and while imploring the aid of your most holy Spouse,
we confidently invoke your patronage also.
By that love which united you to the Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God,
and by the fatherly affection with which you embraced the Infant Jesus,
we humbly beseech you to regard graciously
the inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased with His Blood
and to help us in our necessities, by your powerful intercession.

Protect, O most provident Guardian of the Holy Family,
the chosen children of Jesus Christ;
ward off from us, O most loving Father,
all taint of error and corruption;
graciously assist us from Heaven, O most powerful protector,
in our struggle with the powers of darkness;
and as you once rescued the Child Jesus
from imminent peril to His life,
so now defend the Holy Church of God
from the snares of her enemies and from all adversity.

Shield each one of us with your unceasing patronage that,
imitating your example and supported by your aid,
we may be enabled to live a good life,
die a holy death,
and secure everlasting happiness in Heaven.
Amen.

During Advent

[From the fourth Sunday before Christmas to Christmas Eve:]

O God, you willed that, at the message of an angel,
your word should take flesh  in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary;
grant to your suppliant people,
that we, who believe her to be truly the Mother of God,
may be helped by her intercession with you.
Through the same Christ our Lord. .
Amen.

From Christmas to the Purification

[From Christmas to Candlemass (the Feast of the Presentation), that is through February 1:]

O God, by the fruitful virginity of Blessed Mary,
you bestowed upon the human race  the rewards of eternal salvation;
grant, we beg you, that we may feel the power of her intercession,
through whom we have been made worthy  to receive the Author of life,
our Lord Jesus Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you forever and ever.
Amen.

From Candlemass to the End of the Holy Week

[From Candlemass to Easter (through Holy Week):]

Lord, take away the sins of your people.
may the prayers of Mary the mother of your Son help us,
for alone and unaided
we cannot hope to please you.
fill our hearts with your love,
and as you revealed to us by an angel
the coming of your Son as man,
so lead us through his suffering and death
to the glory of his resurrection,
for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God for ever and ever.
AMEN.

During Eastertide

[From Easter day through Pentecost, and throughout the octave of Pentecost if it is celebrated:]

God our Father, you give joy to the world
by the resurrection of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Through the prayers of his mother, the Virgin Mary,
bring us to the happiness of eternal life.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God for ever and ever.
AMEN.

The Miracle Prayer

Lord Jesus, I come before you, just as I am,
I am sorry for my sins,
I repent all of my sins,
please forgive me.
In your name, I forgive all others for what they have done against me.
I renounce Satan, the evil spirits and all their works.
I give you my entire self, Lord Jesus, now and forever,
I invite you into my life, Jesus,
I accept you as my Lord God and Savior.
Heal me, change me,
strengthen me in body, soul and spirit.
Come, Lord Jesus,
cover me with your precious blood,
and fill me with your HOLY SPIRIT,
I LOVE YOU LORD JESUS.
I PRAISE YOU JESUS,
I THANK YOU JESUS.
I shall follow you every day of my life.
AMEN.
