In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
God Eternal Father,
bless us through the love with which
You have begotten Your only Son from all eternity
and shared with Him the fullness of Your own Divinity.
Bless us through the love which has made us children of adoption
and partakers of the treasures of Your Divinity.
Bless us through the love with which
You have sent us Your Son and the Holy Spirit
in order to work the miracles
of Your power and mercy in us.
Grant that we may always revere
and honor You as our great God
and love You with our whole heart
as the best of fathers.
Eternal Father, grant our petitions:
(Mention your requests).
God Eternal Son,
image of the splendor of the heavenly Father,
bless us through the love with which
You surround us, Your poor creatures.
You have become our Brother according to the flesh
to make us Your brothers and sisters according to Your Divinity,
and an image of Your splendor.
Bless us through the marvelous goodness
of Your Sacred Heart
which caused You to choose death
in order to bring us life.
Bless us through the love with which
You always plead for us in the Blessed Sacrament
and at the throne of God
and give Yourself to us in Holy Communion.
Grant that all this love
and all Your bitter pain
may not be lost on us.
Eternal Son, grant our petitions:
(Mention your favors).
God Holy Spirit,
mutual Love of the Father and the Son,
bless us through the love with which
You proceed from the Father and the Son
and unite Them in eternal unity.
Bless us through the love with which
You give Yourself to us as our greatest Gift,
dispensing Your Divine graces to us
and transforming sinners into children of God.
Bless us through the love with which
You swell in the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
through Whose merits the earth is filled with grace
and made a dwelling place for the God of heaven.
Grant that we, Your faithful servants,
may always allow ourselves to be led by You
so as to advance in virtue
and reach eternal happiness.
God Holy Spirit, grant our petitions:
(Mention your favors).
In Honour of the Power, Wisdom and Loving Mercy of the Blessed Virgin Mary
1. Oh, Immaculate Mary, Virgin most Powerful,
we beseech you, through that immense Power
which you have received from the eternal Father,
obtain for us Purity of heart,
Strength to overcome all the enemies of our soul,
and the special favour we implore in our present necessity.
(State your intentions here…)
Mother most Pure! Forsake us not,
despise not our prayer,
graciously hear us for God's glory,
your honor, and the welfare of our souls.
To obtain this favour, we honour your Power
as we say, “Hail Mary…”.
2. Oh, Virgin Mary, our Mother,
through that ineffable Wisdom bestowed upon you
by the Incarnate Word of God,
we humbly beseech you, obtain for us
Meekness and Humility of heart,
a perfect knowledge of the divine Will,
and strength to accomplish it always.
Oh Mary, Seat of Wisdom,
as a tender Mother, lead us in the path
of Christian Virtue and perfection,
enlighten and enable us
to do what is most pleasing
to your beloved Son,
and obtain our petition.
To obtain this grace we honor your Wisdom
as we say, “Hail Mary…”.
3. Oh, Mother of Mercy,
Mother of penitent sinners,
we stand before you sinful and sorrowful,
beseeching you through the immense Love
given to you by the Holy Spirit
for us poor sinners,
obtain for us true and perfect contrition for our sins,
which we hate and detest with all our heart,
because we love God.
Mother most Merciful,
help us in our present necessity.
Turn then, those eyes of Mercy toward us,
Oh Clement, oh Loving, oh Sweet Virgin Mary!
To obtain this precious gift,
we honour your Loving Mercy
as we say, “Hail Mary…”.
O Seraphic St. Clare,
first disciple of the Poor Man of Assisi,
who last abandoned all riches and honors
for a life of sacrifice and highest poverty,
obtain from God for us the grace we may ask,
of always submitting to the Divine Will,
and of living confidently in the providence of our Heavenly Father.

Moreover, …
Glorious Saint Michael,
guardian and defender
of the Church of Jesus Christ,
come to the assistance of His followers,
against whom the powers of hell are unchained.
Guard with special care our Holy Father, the Pope,
and our bishops, priests,
all our religious and lay people,
and especially the children.
Saint Michael,
watch over us during life,
defend us against the assaults of the demon,
and assist us especially at the hour of death.
Help us achieve the happiness
of beholding God face to face
for all eternity.
Saint Michael,
intercede for us with God
in all our necessities, especially…
(State your intentions here…)
Obtain for us a favourable outcome
in the matter we recommend to you.
Mighty prince of the heavenly host,
and victor over rebellious spirits,
remember us for we are weak and sinful
and so prone to pride and ambition.
Be for us, we pray,
our powerful aid in temptation and difficulty,
and above all do not forsake us
in our last struggle with the powers of evil.
Amen.
(attributed to Pope Clement Xi)
O God, we believe in You; strengthen our faith.
All our hopes are in You; secure them.
We love You; teach us to love you daily more and more.
We are sorry that we have offended You; increase our sorrow.
We adore you as the Author of our first beginning.
We aspire after you as our last end.
We give you thanks as our constant Benefactor,
We call upon you as our sovereign Protector.
O God, be pleased to conduct us by your wisdom;
to restrain us by the thought of Your justice;
to comfort us by Your mercy;
to defend us by Your power.
To You we desire to consecrate all our thoughts,
words, deeds, and suffering,
that henceforth we may think of you, speak of you,
refer all our actions to Your greater glory,
and suffer willingly whatever You shall appoint.
Lord, we desire that in all things
Your Will be done,
because it is Your Will,
and we desire that all things be done
in the manner that You will them.
Grant that we may always esteem whatsoever is pleasing to You,
despise what You abhor,
avoid what You forbid,
and do what you command.
We beg You to enlighten our understanding,
to inflame our will,
to purify our body,
and to sanctify our soul.
O God, give us strength to atone for our sins,
to overcome our temptations,
to subdue our passions,
and to acquire the virtues proper to our state of life.
Fill our hearts with tender affection for Your goodness,
hatred of our faults,
love of our neighbor,
and contempt of the world.
May Your grace help us to be obedient to our superiors,
kind and courteous to our inferiors,
faithful to our friends,
and charitable to our enemies.
Assist us to overcome sensuality by self-sacrifice,
avarice by alms deeds,
anger by meekness,
and carelessness by devotion.
O God, make us prudent in our undertakings,
courageous in danger,
patient in trials,
and humble in success.
Grant that we may be ever attentive at our prayers,
temperate at our meals,
diligent in our work,
and faithful in our good resolutions.
Let our conscience be ever upright and pure,
our behavior modest,
our conversation kind,
and our actions edifying.
Assist us that we may continually strive
to overcome the evil inclinations of our nature,
to cooperate with Your grace,
to keep Your commandments,
and to work out our salvation.
O God, make us realize the nothingness of this world,
the greatness of heaven,
the shortness of time,
and the length of eternity.
Grant that we may prepare for death;
that we may fear Your judgment;
that we may escape hell
and in the end obtain heaven.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
By St. Alphonsus Liguori
O Lord God omnipotent,
we beseech You by the Precious Blood,
which Your divine Son Jesus shed in the Garden,
deliver the souls in purgatory,
and especially that one which is the most forsaken of all,
and bring it into Your glory,
where it may praise and bless You for ever.
Amen.
Blessed Souls, we have prayed for you;
we entreat you, who are so dear to God,
and who are secure of never losing Him,
to pray for us miserable sinners,
who are in danger of being damned,
and of losing God forever.
Amen.
O God, the author of mercy,
the lover of the salvation of mankind;
we address Your clemency,
in behalf of our relations, friends, and benefactors,
who are departed this life,
that by the intercession of blessed Mary, ever virgin, and of all the saints,
You would receive them into the enjoyment of eternal happiness;
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
